Saving the world, one mouse at a time…
Yesterday M saved a mouse from the clutches of Arwyn. Our youngest cat Arwyn likes to play with her food. I still am amazed that M got it from her still alive and seemingly unharmed! The poor mouse was shaking but did not seem to have any marks or blood on him/her. I have no experience in figuring out the gender of mice. Cats, yes. Mice, no.
Every couple of months, we will find vomited up mice carcasses daily for about a week. My guess is that the mice check our house out, get eaten often by our cats. The survivors scatter, then try again in a few months.
Cleaning up vomited up pieces of mice really grosses us out. You can see all the different organs. There may be a tail nearby. You might find the tail in a different room.
M released the mouse on our property. Hopefully this mouse learned its lesson and will not come back. I sure don’t want to have to clean its organs off my kitchen floor.
